Wild Wood science session today. ‘Can you make a floaty boat to get an alien around their water planet’ Using a variety of natural materials and working fully outdoors year 1 took on the challenge wholeheartedly for their topic


The whole school took part in the today and collected 8 bags of litter. Well done all was an interesting and informative session. Our Eco Warriors will collate our results and update the school on the findings

An alien spaceship crash landed into Wild Wood today for our ‘moon zoom’ topic. The friendly alien had left a letter with recipes for the children to recreate using the mud-kitchen, lots of natural materials, imagination and a tonne of fun!

Our wonderful World Book Day celebrations ended with Head Teacher’ Storytime with Mrs Rigby-Drake reading The Ugly Five. Such a lovely end to what has been such a fun day celebrating, stories, books and a love of reading.


Lunchtime saw the opening of our Book Swap Shop 📚. Children had been donating books all week in exchange for book bucks which were spent today at lunchtime at the swap shop. ❤️ lots of happy faces to be taking home a new book. Thank you for all the donations.

Should your child have any special diet requirements or allergies please complete the form below and return to the school office with medical evidence, a meeting will then be arranged with the catering company who will do their very best to accommodate all needs. Cost of Meals

Since September 2014 primary pupils in Reception, Year 1 and Year 2 have received free school meals automatically as part of a Government initiative.

From Year 3 onwards meals cost £2.20 per day and need to be paid via our school Parent Pay account, registration forms will be in your induction pack or ask the school office for a sign up form.

If you earn under £16,190 p/yr and are in receipt of benefits you will be entitled to receive Pupil Premium Funding also known as Free School Meals.  It is imperative that if you think you are eligible for this funding you apply immediately upon joining school, even though you already receive the free lunches from Reception - Year 2, as the school receives additional funding per eligible child and you will be entitled to additional benefits.

Free Fruit and Vegetables

The children in Reception - Year 2 also receive free fruit and vegetables through the School Fruit and Vegetable Scheme, part of the Change 4 Life programme. 

These are readily available in the classrooms and we encourage the children to take a fruit or vegetable snack at set times throughout the day.


We encourage all children in Reception Class to drink milk each day (we are not able to facilitate this after this year group). 

They are entitled to receive free milk up until they turn 5 years old.  After this point the parent needs to set up a Cool Milk account and pay for their child's milk online. *
