Lovely visit today from Councillor Hannah Gray after being nominated by one of our parents. We were presented with a certificate of appreciation for work during lockdown. The Mayor received flowers and a handcrafted piece of art by year 1. https://t.co/b647VmBC5c

Self care. Purple bubble learnt about self care and ways to relax today. They then created gift bags, instruction cards using marbling inks and scented bath bombs to give to someone or to use as a treat for themselves. Take care of others but also remember take time for yourself. https://t.co/PTyX27hual

As we welcome all children back to school next week, our keyworker bubble will change as children rejoin their classes. We celebrated with a garden party! Children designed the menu, baked or made all of the delicious food and drink and then enjoyed and celebrated our community❤️ https://t.co/idqeaB71AV

Meet the mini versions of Betty O Barley and Harry O Hay. YR1 worked hard today, building scarecrows and harvesting delicious courgettes and potatoes that we then cooked fresh from the earth and tasted. Even our most discerning palates had a try and gave it the thumbs up! https://t.co/HHUiTzmSnI

What a scorcher ☀️ the allotment was a lot of hard work today but we kept cool with the sprinkler and using the shade whilst we worked. We also were overjoyed and proud of our first little bounty 🥒 🥔 https://t.co/4sz9LHS6Pa

An Artistic Riddle, Keyworker Bubble were given grid squares with shaded shapes on with intructions to colour certain areas and doddle on others. Trying to work out what the grids could mean meant some interesting ideas were shared. See our time lapse for the answer... https://t.co/OvC94TCHAn

Why do mentos and diet cola react this way? Is it texture? sugar? something else? Keyworker bubble were tasked with predicting, control measuring and working out the answer for some outdoor science. https://t.co/Ih3uE5H7ik

Our leadership team is learning how we can further embed mindfulness in school working with as part of the Mindfullness in Schools project.

Mindful Monday! Reception bubbles created the most stunning natural art to frame their dusted handprints. Mindful breathing practice followed by a 5 senses session looking at our plants in the playground and working out which of the senses each plant used the most. 👁👃🏼👂🏿🤚🏽👅 https://t.co/non5sibBJc

Reception bubbles have been adding their kindness pebbles to our new pathway. Their definition of kindness when discussing was ‘smiling’, ‘helping each other, ‘sharing’ and ‘showing love’ what clever and caring 4 and 5 year olds we have. https://t.co/4fcoTyzNq6

Whole School Resources

Home Learning During School Closure

During this period of school closure, it is important that children try their best to continue with their learning at home. Each year group teaching team is working hard to provide resources and guidance for you to help your child learn in a fun way at home each day.

We know that the current situation is placing everyone under pressure, and we would like parents to understand that, whilst we are providing these resources for you to use, and a structure for each day, that is to help and support you, not to place any additional pressure on you to complete every task. Just do what you can. You can feed back your experience to your child's teacher each week through the regular calls we are making, and we will do our best to help.

You can expect to find resources for Monday and Tuesday by 6pm on the Sunday before. Each subsequent day's learning will be uploaded by (at the latest) 6pm the evening before.
