Support

SEND

Wed have a Federation SENCO who is frequently onsite at HPABE, Mrs Pritchard, and a Federation SEND Consultant to support us called Ms Verrecchia.   In their absence Miss Bakarey supports as our family worker.   Please see attached documents for further advice and support and view the SEN Key Information page of this website for additional information.

Anxiety

We know that it can often feel like there’s a lack of resources available to support schools and parents in areas like mental wellbeing. We also know that a lot of the work that needs to be done starts at home. That’s why we have created this page in partnership with Action for Children and The Children’s Society to develop The Expert Parents Guide to Childhood Anxiety.

The guide offers easily implemented guidance to help children with childhood anxiety. It provides parents and teachers with a straightforward structure to approach when explaining what anxiety is to children, how to recognise positive and negative feelings, how to handle these emotions and much, much more.  We hope that you find it useful
The Expert Parent’s Guide to Childhood Anxiety.

ELSA

We have trained ELSA staff on site available to offer emotional support to pupils.
